Production of the  807-HD  &  807-L  is going on NOW.

  • The pre-drilled blaun enclosures have  finally  arrived.
    • These were the cause of the long delay.
  • 25+ sets of wires for the "-HD" are pre-cut and ready to attach, once the baluns are mounted into their enclosures.
  • 25+ sets of wires for the "-L" are pre-cut and ready to attach, once the baluns are mounted into their enclosures.
  • Several hundred RMU printed circuit boards, fully populated with resistors and capacitors, are now in stock and waiting to have leads soldered onto them.
  • These can be used in both the  -L  &  -HD  versions.
  • Due to on-going component availibility problems (SMD Caps), the "75m version" of these antennas will initially have a power rating of just 300w SSB/CW (this version only).  Sorry but the caps we planned to use in this version are simply not currently available.

BOTH  VERSIONS  OF  THE  807  WILL  BE  AVAILABLE  SOON.

NOTE:  The only technical difference between the 807-L and 807-HD

is the size (and weight) of the wire used in the wire legs, and heavier

duty insulators in the HD.  All else is exactly the same.

Which one is for YOU ?

  • The 807-L with its thinner wire weighs less, and is better suited for short-term portable use.  May be used with the 12m fg pole.
  • The 807-L's thinner wire is nearly impossible to see when mounted 10 meters (33 ft.) in the air.  Great for stealth installations.
  • The 807-HD's thicker wire makes it much more suitable for permanent installations where the WX has lots of snow and/or ice, and wind.
  • The 807-HD is too heavy for mounting high on the Spiderbeam 12m fiberglass pole.  Use the lower 12m of the 18m fg pole.

For our North American Users:

Special capacitors are currently on order which will enable us to build RMUs capable of setting the 75m resonance at about 3.900 MHz.

This was not possible when using the capacitors which we use in European versions and US versions with resonance at 3.800 MHz.

A work-around is available, but with reduced power rating (half-power).
