• Gold-Plated, Teflon Insulated PL-259
• Insulated, Stranded Copper-Weld Wire
• Double-Strain-Relief of Wires and Coax
• Balun Fully Potted with 2-Component Epoxy

"QUALITY" Continues with the Proper Technology Design:

• Feedpoint location chosen that presents a good match to the largest number of HF bands, while . . . 
• Maintaining the lowest possible level of Common-Mode-Current caused by the Feedpoint being Off-Center.
• Balun Designed SPECIFICALLY for the Common-Mode-Current Characteristics of this specific antenna.*

* The Common-Mode-Current characteristics of OCFD antennas was determined by hundreds of hours of EXTENSIVE FIELD TESTING of various versions of OCFD antennas, errected in various configurations.

According to Tom Rauch (W8JI), manufacturing variances, especially with toroids from different manufacturing batches, can vary in Permeability up     to 20%.  Our own lab measurements have confirmed this.

In a device whose job it is to maintain a balance of current flowing within the coaxial transmission line, variances of this magnitude are undesirable.

By carefully selecting matched-pair toroids, QUALITY IS ASSURED.

We don't rely on "luck" as a quality factor!

As you see, sometimes it is still important to think "inside the box".
