This is our 3rd type of wire to be used in lightweight antennas, and it appears we have finally found the optimum wire for these antennas.
We call the wire PS-22 (for short). It is AWG-22 Litz wire, consisting of seven thin strands of copper-weld (copper-plated steel) wire, with a Polyethylene jacket. This enables a breaking strength of 70 lbs. while maintaining the electrical properties of copper.
